Orbits Lightwave, Inc. announced an Industry First SlowLight™ Laser.
Orbits Lightwave pioneers a SlowLight™ Laser with unprecedented low noise performance.

Pasadena, Calif., January 16, 2008 – Orbits Lightwave, Inc., an innovative supplier of ultra-stable, low-noise fiber lasers announced today the introduction of an industry first SlowLight™ Laser. The SlowLight™ technology further advance the state of the art performance of the Orbits’ Ethernal™ laser platform, that has already emerged as an industry leading ultra-low noise, narrow linewidth, rock stable and reliable laser solution. The SlowLight™ Laser development effort was conducted under DARPA’s PHOR-FRONT program, that demanded the ultimate in laser noise performance. More....

See us at OFC/NFOEC 2008
February 26-28, 2008 in booth 336

Orbits Lightwave will be exhibiting their innovative ETHERNAL™ family of ultra-stable, low-noise fiber lasers and the First SLowLight™ Laser with unprecedented low noise performance in booth 1845 at CLEO/QELS/PhAST 2008 in San Jose, CA. Exhibition dates are May 6-8, 2008. Members of the ETHERNAL™ development and production team will be on hand to explain the features of the ETHERNAL™ fiber laser lasers which include high power and SMSR, ultra-narrow linewidth, and low noise

STABLELASE™ technology now available
in Orbits Ethernal fiber laser products

Orbits Lightwave proudly announces patent-pending StableLase™ Technology in our ETHERNAL™ family of ultra-stable, low noise fiber lasers. Ambient vibration increases the frequency noise in most source lasers and is a problem for sensitive applications such as acoustic sensing. Orbits Lightwave’s StableLase™ technology insures the ETHERNAL™ laser superior performance under harsh environmental conditions. More....

Orbits releases the ETHERNAL™ MICRON series
with up to 200 mW at 1060 nm.

Orbits Lightwave today announced the release of the 1060 nm version of its popular ETHERNAL™ fiber laser. Developed under a phase II SBIR grant from NASA for the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), the new Micron series shares the same high SMSR, ultra- narrow linewidth and low noise performance as the current versions at 1550 nm.. More....

Orbits Lightwave Awarded a Phase II Contract
for NASA Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA)

Orbits Lightwave has been funded under an SBIR Phase II grant to provide ETHERNAL™ laser sources at 1060 nm to NASA for the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) scheduled for launch in 2015. The LISA mission objective is the detection of gravitational waves from sources both inside and outside of our Milky Way galaxy. The LISA mission requires space-qualified lasers with exceptional power, frequency noise, amplitude noise, and lifetime characteristics. Orbits Lightwave will meet these needs with the ultra-stable, low-noise ETHERNAL™; fiber laser.. More....

Orbits Lightwave Receives $5.26 Million Funding for DARPA PHOR-FRONT Program

Orbits Lightwave announced the award of a $5.26 Million DARPA contract for further development of its popular ETHERNAL™ fiber laser. The two phase contract calls for delivery of a narrow-linewidth (10 Hz), low-noise, frequency-stabilized laser at 1550 nm. At the end of Phase II, the laser will provide 1 Watt of fiber-coupled optical power output with 20% wall-plug efficiency. More....

DARPA Awards Orbits Lightwave with a Phase II SBIR Contract for Development of a 1550 nm Source Laser

Pasadena, Calif., May 1, 2006– Orbits Lightwave, Inc., an innovative supplier of ultra-stable, low noise fiber lasers today announced the award of a DARPA Phase II contract for further development of its ETERNAL™ fiber laser. The contract calls for R&D and commercialization of a narrow-linewidth, low-noise and high power laser at 1550 nm. More....
