The ETHERNAL™ SlowLight™ laser family from Orbits Lightwave is an ultra-stable, low-noise fiber laser solution for Acoustic Sensing, LIDAR, Test and Telecom applications. Based on a unique and patented architecture, the “virtual-ring” laser oscillator enables traveling wave and Slow Light oscillation for the first time in a compact, linear, all-fiber cavity. Traveling wave oscillation eliminates the problems associated with “spatial hole burning” resulting in higher efficiency, lower noise and high side-mode suppression.
